Last year I took part in “November’s card a day” on Scrapdeco’s blog. This year I was delighted to be asked to make a couple of cards for the challenge. I’m excited to share my first card with you.
My challenge is to create a Christmas card using a wax seal and a non Christmas themed die, (I used the Tim Holtz Sizzix Vintage Typewriter).
To see and take part in the Christmas card challenge, hop over to Scrapdeco’s blog. (The blog is in French, but there is an option on the right to change the language).
I hope you have a great weekend.

supplies: tim holtz; watercolor card/grungeboard/core-dinations kraft core/distress ink (antique linen, vintage photo, walnut stain)/distress marker (gathered twigs)/distress stain (black soot, brushed pewter)/dies (vintage typewriter, holiday greens, holiday words: script)/embossing folders (winter berries)/stamps (going somewhere #90)/ tools (sanding block, blending tool, distress marker spritzer)
other: archival ink (jet black, red geranium)/glossy accents/stamps (7G – christmas greetings)/red adhesive gems/sealing wax & wax seal
What a brilliant card! I can see myself casing it on a scrapbook layout 😉
Great use of this die. What a great card.
this card is fantastic – I love everything about it! I am starting to believe there is nothing you cannot do! just wonderful.
That is such a massive compliment coming from you Paula. You’ve made my week. 🙂
This card is positively fantastic!! I love looking over each of the many details and 3-D depth it all creates. This would look amazing in a picture frame and hung on the wall for holiday decor.
Thanks Suey Claus, so pleased to have caught up with you over the weekend. Thanks for leaving me such a lovely comment. 🙂
Your card is fabulous Zoe, I just love the Dear Santa quote! You have given me a wonderful idea for using that sentiment too – thank you! Anne x

(I really SHOULD proofread my comments, PRIOR to submitting them…that way I would see how many times my fingers hit the wrong buttons…or missed them, altogether! I wouldn’t have looked like such a poor speller 😯) ~Mel
