Meet Ebenezer Bones, with a hat straight off the pages of Dickens ‘A Christmas Carol’… it had to be done!
I’m slowly weaning myself off halloween and finding my Christmas spirit. Made easier with the new Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous holiday stamps… yuletide (cms356), music & advert (cms358) and mr bones (cms345).
Mr Bones fit perfectly into the wreath from the yuletide set. His teeth and eye were a little stained so I painted a layer of clean water over both, left for a few seconds and patted with a cloth to lift the distress ink.
I love the new Christmas design tape and used it around the edges of the bottom layer of the mount to give a pop of colour amidst the various shades of brown! This is one of my favourite ways to use design tape and you can edge a failed background and no one will ever know. 😉
Phew, first Christmas card done…
Thanks for stopping by.
Zoe
Oh I am madly in love with Ebenezer ♡♡♡♡
Thanks so much Freddie x
And a fabulous one at that, Zoe! Mr Bones is looking handsome in his top hat and every single layer is just gorgeous! I’m sitting here with my latest card to post and I’m giggling as our layers are so similar in design. I guess you are wearing off on me. I love what you’ve done with Mr Bones’ teeth and eye–clever! And adding him to a Christmas design is just so YOU! Love, love, love this! Hugs!
Thanks my friend. I’m honored to say our styles are very similar. Can’t wait to see your card. x
You’re layering always have a luscious thickness. I don’t know if it just looks that way in the photo. Are you using a super thick material on each layer? I love all your work.
Thank you Linda. I used a low profile adhesive foam strip under the black cardstock and again under the skull.
I was laughing just at the title. This has to be my daughters card. Combines halloween and Christmas so very well. Just love it. thanks as always for sharing.
This is awesome Zoe! Love every little detail. TFS!
